Getting to Capital Turnaround

Metro Access

Take the Green Line to Navy Yard-Ballpark and walk 10 minutes east on M Street or take the Blue, Orange or Silver Lines to the Eastern Market station and walk 11 minutes south along 7th Street.

There are also several bus stops close to the campus.

From the Highway

We are only a few blocks from I-695.

From I-395, exit onto I-695 east. Exit I-695 at the “6th Street SE” exit.

Take the 6th St SE exit from I-695. Use the right lane to merge onto Virginia Ave SE. Turn right onto 8th St SE. Turn right onto M St SE.

From Northwest DC or Capitol Hill

Go to Pennsylvania Avenue SE and turn south onto 7th Street SE. Capital Turnaround is south of the highway between L and M Streets.

Parking

There is a paid parking lot on 7th Street across from our front door as well as two other paid parking lots at 401 M Street SE and 8th Street SE (between I Street & Virginia Avenue) 2 blocks south

Note to DC Visitors

When following directions in DC, double-check the quadrant so you don’t end up on the other side of town! The DC map is a grid of four quadrants, with the U.S. Capitol as the focal point. Consequently, every street is either NW, SW, NE, or SE of the capitol. Capital Turnaround is in the SE quadrant of the city.
